How to Plan a Charlotte Winery Crawl
This story is sponsored by Charlotte Limo, which offers smart, fun, and safe choices for exploring Charlotte area wineries. Please note that I’ve been to and approve of each destination mentioned below.
A winery experience is something that soothes the senses. In the age of hustle and bustle, it’s nice to be able to sit back and relax in a low key environment with a glass of your favorite vintage in hand. A lot of people assume that they’re too busy to plan a trip to wine country, but you don’t have to travel all the way to Napa Valley to experience wine country – a getaway is much closer than you’d think. Charlotte is home to destinations that provide an exceptionally hospitable experience and high quality wine options along with them. Let us help you plan a Charlotte winery crawl!
Rocky River Vineyards
Rocky River Vineyards is another winery that is found just outside the city limits of Charlotte in Midland. How can you go wrong with options of wine slushies like their famous Peach Bellini? There is a small porch area to relax and a beautiful view of the vineyards. The best part if their wines are very affordable. Take a few bottles to go! Rocky River is also a great spot to host private events such as weddings.
A short drive northe of Charlotte in Troutman is Daveste Vineyards. The art inspired winery not only serve delicious dry white and red wines, but is also a great place to spend a lazy afternoon. The winery often hosts food trucks and live music on their spacious patio that overlooks the vineyards. Do a tasting, pick a bottle to split with friends or loved ones, and don’t forget to check the artwork that adorns the walls.
Treehouse Vineyards is located south of Charlotte in Monroe, and it’s definitely worth the short trip! The winery is a family and unique in the sense that you’re able to rent three different treehouses. They feature live outdoor music and host community events throughout the year. It’s easy to spend an entire day at this property, or even days if you take advantage of a treehouse rental.
Dilworth Tasting Room
Although this option isn’t a winery, Dilworth Tasting Room in South End has a lot to offer. The ambience is striking with a contemporary atmosphere featuring a garden patio with a koi pond. The menu features a well-rounded wine list, craft beer options, gorgeous cheese plates you wont want to pass up, and impressive appetizers like their roasted grape bruschetta.
Using professional transportation is the perfect way to coordinate a trip to these gems in and around Charlotte. Not only is it the safest way to get a group from one point to another after indulging in glasses of wine, but it’s also the most comfortable. There’s no Uber option that comes with spacious interiors, convenient drink amenities, or professional sound systems with subwoofers and aux ports. The features don’t stop there, and neither does the potential for fun! You’re able to visit multiple destinations with ease, with no worries about finding parking or directions.
It’s important to note that a Charlotte Limo Bus isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg, it often ends up averaging around the same cost per person as if you were using a ride share service. Charlotte has endless opportunities for enjoying a night out. It will be easy to find a local scene that the whole group will enjoy.
