The Best Adults Only Resorts in Aruba
Updated for 2018 with a new addition!!! I strive to keep my content current by constantly refreshing articles, like this guide to the best adults only resorts in Aruba revised after a recent trip to Aruba.
You’re poolside in Aruba – the vacation you’ve been dreaming about for years. You have a boat drink in one hand, an e-reader in the other, and a glimpse of the ocean over the tips of your toes. You deserve this. Suddenly, a loud splash and screaming kids shatters your peace. You love kids. You even have two at home. But they’re at home. You came to get away from them. Don’t let this happen to you. Book at one of these adults only resorts in Aruba.
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts, located on 14 acres of Eagle Beach, which consistently ranks as one of the top ten prettiest beaches in the world, is one of the most relaxing and romantic hotels on this list. The boutique hotel’s large swath of ocean front property with only 104 rooms guarantees a secluded getaway. Yet, some of the island’s best dining and shopping options are only short cab ride away – if you can break yourself away from the fresh-water, infinity pool, that is.
Want to add that extra touch of romance to your honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or just because moment? Bucuti & Tara’s Romance Concierge can help plan it. Other amenities to help make the most of your adult-time together include a plethora of shady palapas to curl up under, a Wellness Spa with customizable treatments, and free breakfast included with your stay.
While the resort is not all-inclusive, a package is available to make dining easy. The Dine Around Meal Plan allows guests to dine at the resort restaurant or one of the 18 partner restaurants on the island.
Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino
Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, located in the heart of Oranjestad, is ideal for couples who come to Aruba to play and experience the tropical island’s metropolitan vibe, yet still want access to Aruba’s only private beach. A free water taxi runs throughout the day and night to reach the resort’s private island beach, restaurant, and bar.
There is a caveat though. The Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino is not entirely adult only. The resort is a two in one resort with the Renaissance Marina Hotel serving as the child-free zone. Here, you can experience a romantic vacation in a hip environment with an adult only pool, spa, bar, and beach. The adult only side is also newly renovated compared to the family side.
From the beach to the casino to the spa, the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino provides the perfect adult getaway. When you’re not sunbathing poolside, check out the resort’s casino or the private island that’s exclusive to hotel guests.
Riu Palace Antillas All Inclusive – Adult Only
Looking for an adults only resort in Aruba that’s the life of the party? Then look no further than Riu Palace Antillas All Inclusive – Adult Only, the only truly all-inclusive resort on the list. Enjoy all you can eat or drink in one of six restaurants, four bars, and disco.
Located in the hub of Palm Beach’s high rise district, the hotel puts guests in the center of Aruba’s entertainment district with plenty of shopping and nightlife options within walking distance of the resort. Not that there’s a need to leave the resort. From the pool to the beach to free use of kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, there’s enough to keep guests occupied throughout aweek-long vacation. There’s also an onsite casino and spa for that extra indulgence.
Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
New to this list is the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino on the northern tip of Palm Beach. The hotel isn’t exclusively adults only, but there are options to make it feel like the grown-up beach retreat that you’re craving. The hotel’s exclusive Tradewinds floor is adult only and acts as a semi-all inclusive option with included breakfast, lunch, snack times, and alcohol. The resort also offers a tranquil, adults only pool.
While the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino may not be fully adult only, it is one of the classiest hotels on this list with a popular casino, Ruth Chris restaurant, and a high-end jeweler. Make the most of your vacation with beachfront spa services at Mandara’s Spa.

Which adults only resorts in Aruba would you add to this list?
I would never consider Bucuti’s dine-around plan when staying in Aruba (or any of the similar packages offered for all-inclusive dining on the island). Many of these plans do not include a number of the amazing restaurants on the island, and many of those included only cover a limited menu at many places – if you want to experience the full menu, you will end up paying a surcharge on top of your “plan”. With so many amazing dining options on the island (in a wide range of price points), such plans are a waste of $$$. All in my humble opinion, of course.
Great advice! I think Aruba is one of the few Caribbean islands with a good culinary scene.
Great article about adults-only hotels. Thank You.
